Team Up Groups (TUGs) Policy

General Membership

TeamUpGroups is committed to fostering a supportive environment for small businesses in Central Pennsylvania. Our membership policy outlines the guidelines and expectations for our members to ensure a mutually beneficial experience.

Membership Eligibility

  1. Business Type: Membership is open to any business that serve people within Central Pennsylvania. 

  2. Business Status: Members must posses any valid business licenses and operate legally in their respective jurisdictions.

  3. Commitment to Networking: Members should be open to networking with other businesses that serve the same clientele.

Membership Benefits

  1. Networking Opportunities: Members can access other business contact information that serves similar clientele.  Other benefits are business education through the Educational TUGs.  A business can be considered to be added to the Education TUGs or the Mini TUGs if they deal with the public.

  2. Marketing Support: Members can showcase their services and products to fellow members and potential customers.

  3. Collaboration: Opportunities for collaborative projects and partnerships will be encouraged among members.

Membership Dues

  1. General Membership is free to join

  2. There are additional charges for the Educational TUGs as well as Mini TUGs

Code of Conduct

  1. Professionalism: Members are expected to maintain a professional demeanor in all online and offline interactions.

  2. Respect: Treat all members with respect, valuing diverse perspectives and ideas.

  3. No Solicitation: Direct solicitation for products or services during networking events is prohibited unless specified as a sales pitch opportunity.

Termination of Membership

Membership may be terminated under the following circumstances:

  1. Violation of Policies: Any member found violating the membership policies or code of conduct may face termination at the sole determination of Team Up Groups, LLC.

  2. Lack of Engagement: Members who do not actively participate in events or network within a year may be removed from the membership roster.

Amendments

TeamUpGroups reserves the right to amend this membership policy as necessary to promote an effective and positive networking environment. Members will be notified of any changes in a timely manner.

By adhering to these policies, members contribute to a thriving community of small businesses in Central Pennsylvania. We look forward to supporting your growth and connection with fellow businesses.

Educational TUGs & Mini-TUGs

  1. Educational TUGs are placed on the primary Team Up Group website for the benefit of other business members.

  2. Mini TUGs are placed on separate websites that are focused on specific audiences.

Membership Eligibility 

  1. Business Type:  Businesses that sell to other businesses (B2B) are eligible for membership.

  2. Business Status: Businesses must be in good standing with the community and state and federal agencies, having all appropriate licenses and approvals.

Membership Benefits

  1. Marketing Benefits:  Because the Educational TUGs are available to all members, we place you in a position of “trusted resource”

  2. Education Benefits: The Educational TUGs are designed to provide value to other businesses through education.

Membership Levels

  1. Single Lesson Membership: Each member will be allowed to provide a single lesson to be added to any course. This membership level also includes the ability to provide blogs and any upcoming events that would be appropriate for the other members.

  2. Multiple Lesson Membership:  Each member will be allowed to provide up to three lessons to be added to any course.  This membership level also includes the ability to provide blogs and any upcoming events that would be appropriate for the other members.

Educational TUG Lessons

  1. Educate Do Not Sell:  Our goal is to put you in a position of authority within your industry.  This is done by education.

  2. Answer a Question:  For the content, answer a question.  Since you know the questions that your clients typically ask, each lesson should be based on one of those questions.  The more focused the question, the greater the typical attention.

  3. Limitation:  Since the lessons are around questions, TUGs don’t allow duplicate questions to be answered.  

  4. Changes:  We do allow any member to change a lesson at any time as long as the question is available.  

  5. Approval:  Team Up Groups has the authority, at its sole discretion, to accept or reject any content to be added to the website.

  6. Content:  Each lesson has the same structure.

        1. - A video that ranges between 5 and 10 minutes long. 

        2. The member logo as well as contact information.

        3. - Any PDF documentation (Optional)

        4. - Any hyperlinks (Optional)

        5. - Graphics and Images, the member must hold the rights to use the graphics online with no copyright issues. (Optional)

        6. - Summary of content (Optional)

Payment and Dues:

  1. All payments, unless otherwise approved, happen online with a recurring charge to a credit or debit card.

  2. Non-payment will be considered cancellation and trigger the removal of the lesson(s), blogs, or upcoming events.
